you mean 3 * 7-segment display or an actual LCD?

CPU Mainboard Modules / Where are the Blob Free CPU's,...

The problem is that are very few cpu's, chipsets or SOC's that can run blob free.

https://www.fsf.org/resources/hw/single-board-computers

H-Node is a new resource for finding hardware supported by fully-free distributions of GNU/Linux.

https://h-node.org/hardware/catalogue/en

https://h-node.org/notebooks/catalogue/en

It lists hardware supported by open source hardware but hardly any are blob free.

Displays / 15.4" 16:10 2880x1800 Display
Last post by Ryushin - March 04, 2015, 04:45:30 PM
The 15.4" 16:10 2880x1800 Display was the Retina display used in the MacBook Pro.

There where two panels used.  One made by LG (LP154WT1-SJA1) and the other made by Samsung (LSN154YL01-001).  The LG had ghosting and burn in problems so the Samsung should be the unit to be used.

Samsung's Display part #LSN154YL01-001  (It looks like other parts numbers 002, 003, etc as well)

There are currently 10,000 pieces available.

I could not find a datasheet yet for this panel.

A company is making a display board for this panel:

Some good information on someone who was working on their on board to control the panel:
